The compact SUV is available in three different configurations. These configurations Sport, Latitude, and the Limited. The SUV is manufactured by Jeep and introduced at the New York Auto Show in 2006. The Jeep Patriot was discontinued in 2016 with the second generation Jeep Compass replacing it in the lineup. The front-engine five door crossover SUV debuted alongside the Jeep Compass in April, 2006. Both vehicles, as well as Dodge Caliber shared the GS platform, differentiated by their styling and marketing, with the Patriot exclusively offering a four-wheel drive system, marketed as Freedom Drive II. The Patriot was manufactured at Chrysler's Belvidere, Illinois assembly plant alongside the Compass. Production of the Jeep Compass ended with the 2017 model year, even though it was still selling well.
